Automotive pioneers Mercedes-Benz is the world’s oldest automotive brand still in existence today.
Every pioneering achievement begins with attention to detail. Mercedes Benz appointed Kinnersley Kent Design to create a UK showroom which not only presented their Mercedes Benz and Smartcar brands but also their first Maybach suite.
We challenged the traditional notions of automotive retailing by opening a showroom within the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent. The idea was that dads can interact with the brand whilst mums are out shopping. The ‘showroom’ has all information and heritage on the brands, you can view specifications, upgrade your car, take a test drive, buy accessories and so on.
We were responsible for all aspects of the showroom design, from the initial feasibility studies, showroom design, signage, 3D modeling and media wall, through to overseeing implementation on site. The dynamic contemporary design transformed the traditional car showroom and added a new retail dimension.
