We spent some time exploring the many design shows and exhibitions at this years' Clerkenwell Design Week — making sure to pass by a few showroom parties and of course, sampling a couple of glasses of Prosecco along the way.
Particular highlights for us included appreciating the vast array of emerging talent on show at the House of Detention and the Gubi and Moroso shows at the House of Culture. It was also great to simply spend time admiring the inspiring architectural spaces that are usually closed off to the public.
A big theme this year was craftsmanship, with a lot of brands simplifying elements and focusing on the quality of details and materials. The Stellar Works stand at Design Factory was a great example of this.
We rounded the week off at the Domus showroom, which included an inspirational talk by designer Patricia Urquiola — followed up with an evening of Spanish-influenced cuisine in her honour. Until next year!
